You Weren’t Born for Mediocrity, So Stop Living Like It
The ones who have the guts to change are the ones who really make it. Nobody wants to wake up on that Monday morning; nobody wants to work on weekends. But the ones who keep going regardless of which day it is, thinking that now is the time to act, are fearless and shameless. They don’t wait for “motivation” to knock; they knock the door down themselves.
I don’t need shame; what I need to start my business is to be shameless. People will talk — let them. Their opinions won’t pay my bills, and their doubts won’t define my destiny.
Be fearless. There is a saying in Texas: “When you are going to lose, lose big.” Don’t give up. God didn’t send you on Earth to quit, and He definitely didn’t send you to settle for something less. Settling is for those who have accepted defeat before even starting.
Your parents raised you to be better than anybody else, and better than the person you were yesterday. And you’re thinking of leaving? Quitting this business for that same old job you walked away from because you had bigger dreams? Nah. You weren’t born for mediocrity.
You weren’t born to live a simple life and then turn into ashes. You were born to make a difference — between now and the day after you die. Don’t stop. Be unstoppable. Be fearless. Keep going. Life will throw storms, but storms also clear the path for a brighter sky.
Stay healthy — and remember, reading ten books on how to stay healthy won’t change a thing if you’re still eating a burger while reading this. Habits beat theory every time. Discipline is the bridge between what you want and what you get.
There are many people who don’t want to grow. Tell them, “This book can help you,” or “This business suits you,” and they’ll reply, “Yeah, I know this, I know that.” Yet they’re stuck in the same loop. Why? Their mindset tells them, “I’m going to fail; I won’t make it.” Change that to: I will make it, no matter how many times I fall.
And knowledge alone is useless without action. The second reason people stay stuck is they lack action. All the knowing in the world won’t fix your life unless you take the necessary steps. If you want to change, start with your habits. Change your routine, and your days will follow. Change your environment, and your thinking will expand. Change your circle, and your vision will grow.
When you start doing the work — the tiny daily, boring work — things begin to shift. Your life will automatically start to get better if you are willing to put in the required effort and grind through the hard days. That’s when you realize success is never luck — it’s the compound interest of relentless effort.
Thanks for reading.
