Build Wealth, But Never Forget Who Built You
When you start earning, when your business starts growing — please, for God’s sake, don’t blindly listen to every finance influencer telling you to throw all your money into the stock market or SIPs. Instead, begin by fulfilling your family’s needs and their long-held dreams.
If your parents once dreamed of owning a nice car but couldn’t afford it because they prioritized your education, your needs, and your happiness over their own desires — now is the time to return that love. If you're financially stable and making good money, make sure your parents live the rest of their lives peacefully and joyfully. Give them not just comfort, but also pride. Let them look at you and say, “We did it right.”
Give them everything they once sacrificed. If your dad ever wanted a Porsche 911 Turbo, surprise him with it. If your grandparents wish to travel by train, let them fly in business class — or a private jet, if you can. Let them have some fun; they’ve spent their whole lives building yours.
Their greatest creation, their biggest investment, is YOU.
So fulfill their dreams. Think big — and do even bigger.
Remember, if you're standing tall today, it’s because they gave you the foundation. Appreciate everything they did for you. Respect them. Respect your coach, your mentors, and most importantly — respect yourself.
If you don’t respect yourself, no one else will.
There are people who save every penny and never spend on their family. But what happens when they die? Their children, who never learned the value of money, end up spending it all on parties, drugs, or luxuries — because their parents saved everything but failed to pass on the mindset to manage it.
If they had spent wisely and saved wisely, both happiness and stability would’ve followed. Everyone would’ve been better off.
So think about this. After reading, take 15–20 minutes to reflect. Let it sink in. It might just shift your priorities.
Keep going. Keep your family happy. Not the society.
As David Goggins says, “Stay hard.”
No matter how many times you fall — stand again. Fight again. Do it all again.
Thanks for reading.
